The Secret of Recurring Sales

Your life will be a lot easier if you have one thing to sell, over and over again.

This means you must find a niche, a "sweet spot", where you have a good supply/source of an item with very little competition, and a lot of buyers.

This sounds like common sense, but most people tire themselves out constantly finding something new to sell.

SELL THE SAME THING, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. If you had one successful auction, duplicate it as many times as possible.

You can even automate the listings so the same listing is posted ever X number of days. You can also have multiple items in one auction.

#1 Rule to this. You must always be on the lookout.

Be on the lookout. Wherever you are, online or offline, constantly be checking eBay and how that item is selling.

Check in the current auctions (that are still live and active), and also check in the closed auctions (you can search through these).

The Man With Italian Suitcases:

I knew a man and wife who were lawyers making very good money. They made more money on eBay than they did in their "real jobs".

They only sold one thing.

Italian leather suitcases.

They bought them for $8 to $10 a piece, en masse. From a source they found when they were in Italy.

They started the auctions at $9.

They were nice suitcases, and there was a heavy demand, so they made a few 3-day listings of suitcases a few times a week.

THEIR SUITCASES WERE REGULARLY BOUGHT FOR NO LESS THAN $60!

They repeated this over and over and over again every week, for almost two years.

They made about $90,000 a year!

Their listings were easy (automated, except for picking the photos). Their inventory was stacked on industrial shelves in their garage. And their shipping packaging and pricing was always the same. And the customers were always satisfied and left positive reviews.
